Crossing S/F at Daytona.   The old car is probably going faster than she ever had before, perhaps eventouching 110 mph.   A big difference from the Porsche's I was against which likely were topping 125 or more at this point.

Still, it was a good run and a fantastic experience.   I remember when we asked Bob Speakman if might have any ideas for squeezing a bit more speed out of the old car.   He replied that he'd been in the outfield grand stand during our last practice session and the the PV had sounded like a a Formula B car through the Tri-Oval.   We weren't going to be getting any more out of that engine.
